SMB'S GOLDEN JUBILEE FUNDRAISER GALA NIGHT

Saratoga Music Boosters is hosting a fundraiser and we would love you to join us once again for a truly special night. This fundraising evening will not only celebrate the support this non-profit has consistently offered for the past 50 years but hopefully push for its continued success for another 50. The music programs in Saratoga Union School District and Saratoga High School are constantly growing and improving thanks to the dedication and vision of our music directors. SMB’s legacy has been and continues to be the vehicle that ensures every music student has what they need to be successful including the possibility to experience all opportunities offered by their music programs.

Thanks to your support and generous donations, SMB in just the past year alone has been able to:

• Support 1083 music students (SUSD: from 5th grade on, & SHS: from 9th grade on)
• Offer Grants and Scholarships to enable great causes and recognize students
• Bring clinicians to offer specialized studies to all the music programs in all schools
• Enrich our high school ensembles by supporting the SHS commissions and performances of world premiere compositions by renowned musicians and composers on the world stage
• Ensure that every child continues to have access to all music opportunities regardless of their financial status, including all travel opportunities, access to instruments, and attendance to important music events such as CMEA, California All-State, etc.
• Support our continued mission of “Music for All” and address the uptick of music enrollment across our schools which required the purchase of the following instruments and supplies:
  • 2 Harps, 31 Violas cases and bows, 35 Violins cases and bows, 15 shoulder rests, 6 Cellos, 14 Cello Travel Cases, Replaced 14 Cello Bows, Marching Percussion Equipment, Battery Equipment, Rosewood Key Marimbas and mallets, Update Sound System and Tech, 4 Tubas, 1 Oboe, 3 French Horns, 6 Trombones, 4 Euphoniums, 1 Tenor Saxophone.

This reality is only possible thanks to every person or organization who continues to faithfully contribute to the cause. An undeniable fact is that your generosity is a direct return in investment making our schools’ music excellence possible thanks to every donation received. The music programs are one of the reasons why our schools are much sought after which in turn helps make our neighborhood desirable. However, the central focus should be on our current and future students to allow them to balance their academic rigor with a beautiful team building high school opportunity, when this is made clear it becomes evident that good missions need our unwavering support and care.

Let us all celebrate SMB by holding a meaningful fundraiser that will recognize our predecessors’ legacy and bring our community together to support a great milestone. This celebration will be held at Club Sportiva on the 21st of September, 2024 from 6pm-9pm. Not only does the purchase of your tickets include a delicious menu, many beverage choices, wonderful desserts and music performances, it is actually helping fundraise for SMB. There will be no other fundraising at the event.
